The Committee advises upon policies dealing with all
aspects of the Council as an employer, including terms and
conditions, pay policy, the local government pension scheme and
equal opportunities.
The Committee oversees the recruitment
of, and makes recommendations to Council to appoint, the Head of
Paid Service. It also has a duty to designate Statutory Officers
such as the Monitoring Officer and the Chief Financial
Officer.
The Board consists of 7
Councillors, politically balanced.
